What makes the REI collaboration different includes several following eco-friendly changes.
The REI Basecamp is equipped with a new recirculating water heater, intended to help decrease water usage. The UV-LED water filter system also means the water is drinkable.
The Basecamp can be equipped with of two solar panel options: a 200-watt option (for $2,100 more) or the more powerful 360-watt package (which will run an additional $5,500).
The new model is said to be more aerodynamic than the others, which is said to help reduce fuel consumption during your adventure.
