When it was first released in 2013, the Honda CB500X brought an adventure-style mix to the brand’s twin-cylinder middleweight platform. It quickly became a favorite as an all-around bike that could go from street to off-road to highway riding and handle all of it comfortably. It was an excellent entry-level bike with its non-intimidating size and handling…and it still is.

In 2016, it got an upgrade in the way of a larger fuel tank, larger windscreen, and LED lighting. For 2022, the CB500X received an improved fuel injection system, redesigned chassis and suspension, and upgraded braking system.

The CB500X packs enough power and high-end features to keep riders of all levels excited and engaged in the ride.

The 2022 Honda CB500X is a fun, easy-riding adventure bike that delivers 47 hp from the 471cc parallel twin engine in a smooth, satisfying manner that won’t blow you away but is surprisingly powerful for its size. The 32.7″ seat height and riding position make it very comfortable and easy to handle adding to its overall likability.

Light and agile around town and on dusty trails, yet with enough guts to easily handle highway speeds, Honda has struck a great balance here. Although sometimes considered a starter bike, the CB500X packs enough power and high-end features to keep riders of all levels excited and engaged.

Add on its great gas mileage (we averaged 60+ mpg), legendary Honda reliability and a friendly price point, (MSRP $7,200) and the CB500X is an accessible and valuable addition to anyone’s garage.
