Last year we had the opportunity to attend and cover the 2013 Quail Motorcycle Gathering for Iron & Air Issue Ten. That time of year has come again so we thought we'd give you some eye candy to get you revved up for this year's event!
"For the 2013 Quail Motorcycle Gathering, an event now in its fifth year, riders and enthusiasts came together to pay tribute to legendary bikes and even more legendary riders. Among the greats in attendance were Kenny Roberts, Don Castro, Mert Lawwill, and Ray Abrams. Even Miguel Galuzzi, the designer of the iconic Ducati Monster, came by to help Ducati celebrate the Monster’s 20th Anniversary.
A major draw of the Quail Gathering is the diversity of the crowd and participants. There aren't too many shows where you can see a championship GP race bike next to a custom shovelhead Harley!"
"And Carmel Valley, tucked in one the most beautiful coastlines in the country, and riddled with countless twisty roads, is the perfect place to hold a motorcycle event. And kudos to the organizers, who keep us coming back for more. If you ever get a chance, make the ride. You won't regret it." - Words & Images by Iron & Air Contributor Shaik Ridzwan
