Photographer and designer Sean O'Brien moved from California to Minnesota last year, which cut his riding season nearly in half. Just as the midwest winter was about to break him, the idea for the 'Hibernation' series was his saving grace. Sean began documenting Minnesota riders, finding solace through a shared misery of the bitter winter months, and discovering how they cope through the long winter with their machines on blocks and tenders. "Some wrench their way through the dark months, and others just sit and stare with a beer in hand," says Sean. "Just as my mind was about to break in late February, I had this idea and started hustling to get as many as possible before the season starts. I've covered seven riders so far, and have more on the way."
