Chris Myott is a professional artist and furniture maker from the pastoral town of Jaffrey, New Hampshire with a penchant for petrol, motorcycles and rust. We like to think his style is what would happen if you took Warhol-esque pop art, had it produced by Maytag in the 1960’s, doused it in gasoline & tinted wax, and then left it to decay in the woods of New England during peak foliage. At once bucolic, severe, vibrant, and stark, Chris truly captures the art of the motorcycle. Lucky for us, he’s only about a half tank of gas away. In Issue Eleven, we had the pleasure of hanging out with him in his workshop/studio and he allowed us to peer into the window of his life, work, and passion.
In conjunction with the release of Issue Eleven, we've produced this limited edition shirt with artwork by Chris titled "Cannibal' printed on American Apparel's 3.7oz 100% cotton tees, hand screened in New Hampshire. Get one while they last along with a copy of Issue Eleven at shop.ironandair.com.
